The <\/span>IMX568-AAQJ<\/span><\/b> is a Type 1\/1.8, 5.10 MP colour CMOS image sensor for FA and ITS cameras. It uses a square-pixel array, global shutter operation, and variable charge-integration time. This makes it a colour-imaging counterpart to the monochrome IMX568 variant, while retaining the same sensor format and industrial readout architecture.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The defining technology is <\/span>Pregius S<\/span><\/b>. Sony combines a back-illuminated CMOS image sensor with stacked signal processing, while using Pregius global-shutter pixel technology. This approach realizes a small chip size and high sensitivity while retaining the image-quality characteristics of its global-shutter pixels. The sensor is specified with high sensitivity and low dark-current characteristics for colour image acquisition.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>IMX568-AAQJ<\/span><\/b> provides a recommended recording resolution of 2448 \u00d7 2048 pixels and operates at up to <\/span>96 frame\/s<\/span><\/b> in 8-bit all-pixel scan mode. CSI-2 serial output supports two- or four-lane configurations. For reduced-resolution acquisition, 1\/2 subsampling provides up to 220 frame\/s in 8-bit mode, while ROI mode supports targeted readout areas.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

IEC 61508 <\/span>SIL 2 Ready<\/span><\/b> certification is relevant when evaluating the sensor\u2019s probabilistic capability for use in SIL-rated safety applications. It does not replace application-specific system design, verification, or certification work.<\/span><\/p>\n

A <\/span>Safety Integrity Level<\/span> (S<\/span>IL) 2 safety function is expected to have a relatively low probability of failing dangerously when it is needed, <\/span>according to IEC 61508.\u00a0 <\/span>It gives camera and system developers a documented sensor component to incorporate into their functional-safety engineering process.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
