Type 1.8, 26.11 MP STARVIS back-illuminated monochrome CMOS image sensor for industrial and surveillance cameras.

The IMX571BLR-J is a Type 1.8, 26.11 MP monochrome CMOS image sensor for surveillance, FA, and industrial cameras. Its square-pixel array combines a large 28.3 mm diagonal with 3.76 μm pixels, supporting high-resolution monochrome image acquisition.
Its defining characteristic within the IMX571 pair is its monochrome configuration. Unlike the colour-filtered IMX571BQR-J, the IMX571BLR-J does not integrate an RGB primary-colour mosaic filter. It is also identified as a STARVIS monochrome rolling-shutter sensor in Sony’s industrial image-sensor range.
The back-illuminated structure supports image quality in visible-light and near-infrared regions. A built-in A/D converter offers 11-, 12-, 14-, and 16-bit operation, while the on-chip CDS/PGA provides up to 36 dB gain in 12-, 14-, and 16-bit modes. These capabilities give system designers selectable output precision and gain settings for their camera architecture.
Full-resolution still-image readout is available at 6.84 frame/s with 16-bit digital output. For moving-picture operation, window readout supports 12-bit high-speed 4K output. The sensor also integrates horizontal and vertical drivers plus serial communication circuitry, and transfers image data through an 8-lane SLVS-EC interface.
The IMX571BLR-J supports monochrome image capture where a large Type 1.8 sensor format, high effective resolution, selectable readout modes, and back-illuminated pixel technology are relevant. Its rolling-shutter architecture and monochrome output position it for visual inspection tasks as well as surveillance and industrial camera designs.
