Product Overview

The IMX287LLR-C is a Type 1/2.9, approximately 0.4 MP monochrome CMOS image sensor with Pregius global-shutter technology for industrial and sensing applications. It is technically distinct within this sensor group because it prioritises sensitivity and speed through 6.9 µm pixels rather than the higher-resolution 3.45 µm-pixel approach.

The larger pixel size achieves four times the sensitivity of the IMX273 and IMX296 devices cited in the source material. The same sensor output can therefore be obtained with a shorter shutter time, which supports increased factory inspection speed. The sensor also provides high sensitivity in the near-infrared wavelength band, where quantum efficiency is generally lower.

The IMX287LLR-C supports frame rates up to 436.9 frame/s in 10-bit ADC mode. Global shutter operation supports image capture without focal-plane distortion or flash bands when subjects move quickly. External trigger, multiple exposure, and image-sensor synchronisation functions provide acquisition control for industrial cameras.

Product Applications

The IMX287LLR-C supports monochrome industrial and sensing applications in which acquisition speed and sensitivity take priority over image resolution. Its 6.9 µm global-shutter pixels are relevant for fast factory inspection, including systems that need shorter shutter times or sensitivity in the near-infrared wavelength band.

  • High-speed factory inspection
  • Near-infrared sensing
  • Industrial machine vision cameras
  • Fast-moving subject capture
