Sony Pregius IMX304LLR-C is a Type 1.1, 12.37 MP monochrome CMOS image sensor for FA and ITS cameras. Its 3.45 µm square-pixel array provides a recommended recording resolution of 4096 × 3000 pixels, supporting detailed monochrome image acquisition in a 17.6 mm-diagonal optical format.
The sensor’s defining characteristic is its Pregius global-shutter pixel technology. Pregius uses a low-noise CCD structure in an active-pixel CMOS architecture and is designed to produce high-quality images with global-shutter operation. IMX304LLR-C also provides variable charge-integration time, so exposure control can be adapted to the acquisition requirements of the camera system.
Full-resolution all-pixel scan reaches 23.4 frame/s with 12-bit conversion. A vertical and horizontal 1/2 subsampling mode provides a 2048 × 1500-pixel output at 46.3 frame/s, while ROI mode supports selection of a required image area. These modes give camera designers alternatives between full field of view, reduced output resolution, and readout-area selection.
The sensor includes CDS, programmable analogue gain, digital gain, and low-voltage LVDS DDR serial output with four- or eight-channel operation. Its documented high sensitivity, low dark current, low PLS characteristics, and low power consumption support its intended industrial-camera use.
IMX304LLR-C supports monochrome image acquisition where a high-resolution Type 1.1 global-shutter sensor, variable integration time, and selectable readout modes are relevant design parameters.
