As an official distributor of the Sony’s imaging portfolio in EMEA and the Americas, we give customers reliable access to Sony image sensor technologies and related imaging building blocks. In EMEA, we also offer a broad electronics portfolio for embedded and industrial applications.
In Europe, RESTAR FRAMOS Technologies GmbH builds on the heritage of ViMOS Technologies, a highly experienced electronics distributor guided by senior semiconductor experts owning electronics university degrees. Since October 2025, the company has expanded with the Sony imaging portfolio and gained valuable specialists and know-how from FRAMOS GmbH. This created a strong combination: established channel sales know-how, a broad electronics portfolio for EMEA, and deep imaging competence under one roof.
The company is based in Germany, in the Munich area, and supports customers across EMEA.
In North America, RESTAR FRAMOS Technologies Inc. began operations in October 2025, extending the group’s imaging focus into the Americas. The Canadian and US team carries forward the experience and heritage of the former FRAMOS image sensors division, bringing proven market knowledge, application understanding, and customer support capabilities into this new organization.
The company is based in Canada, Ottawa with local subsidiaries in the US, and supports customers across the Americas.
